Why Attaind exists
Why this exists.
The name says it. Attaind — already attained. Already arrived.
We believe that every person already has what they're searching for. Not as a metaphor. As a fact that's been pointed to for centuries across philosophy, contemplative practice, and the sciences of the mind. The clarity was never missing. It was overlooked — buried under assumptions, noise, and the habit of looking everywhere except where you already are.
Attaind exists to help people see what was always there — and stay true to it.
Attaind publishes original articles and essays at the intersection of philosophy, consciousness, technology, and creative practice.
We connect ideas that rarely meet in the same room: what neuroscience is discovering about awareness, what the oldest philosophical traditions already knew, what AI reveals about the assumptions we make about our own minds, what artists and makers uncover when creation becomes inquiry.
The result is writing that doesn't add to what you know. It removes what was in the way of seeing what you already knew.
"The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence."
— Jiddu Krishnamurti
What you'll find here
Original articles and essays. Philosophy meets neuroscience. AI meets ancient inquiry. Technology meets the question it keeps avoiding: who is using it, and what are they not seeing?
Conversations. Long-form exchanges with thinkers, artists, and practitioners whose work crosses boundaries that most institutions keep firmly in place.
A point of view. Attaind is not neutral. We believe the most overlooked insight in every field is the one that turns the lens back on the observer. That conviction shapes everything we publish.
Who's behind this
Tapas Malaiya
Tapas Malaiya founded and edits Attaind. His background sits where the publication does: contemplative inquiry, technology, and the question of what gets missed when we assume we already understand.
He built Attaind because the publication he wanted to read didn't exist.
He is also the author of Understanding Jiddu Krishnamurti: Freedom, Awareness, and the Nature of the Self (Dot and Point Media) — a book that makes one of the most radical thinkers of the twentieth century genuinely accessible.

The book
Understanding Jiddu Krishnamurti: Freedom, Awareness, and the Nature of the Self
A practical guide to Krishnamurti's teachings on freedom, fear, consciousness, and the nature of self. Written for readers who sense Krishnamurti is pointing at something essential but want a clearer path in.
